Elenora & Mavis

Elenora wasn’t used to sharing, she wasn’t used to doing things on her own, to not having people waiting on her every move- it’s not that she couldn’t handle it, she just didn’t know how to. Coming from a home where she was told how to act, talk, and even dress, so much freedom all at once was proving to be more than a little exhausting for the eighteen-year-old. The brunette sighed loudly as she ran out the small cabin she’d been assigned to, she ran past everyone who was in it, not bothering to answer them when they asked what was wrong. Why would she? It’s not like she should get attached to them, after all, she’s not supposed to stay at that cabin forever, it’s not her place. It’s not where she belongs and that was abundantly clear. She kept walking, pushing through the groups of campers clamed around, attempting to get away from them as fast as she could. Elenora was searching for a place where she could sit alone and not be bothered by anyone and she was trying to get there fast. The girl kept walking for a little longer, past the dining pavilion and straight to the beach. Once there, she sat down on the sand and closed her eyes, she was finally able to breathe- or so she thought. Her peace and quiet was quickly interrupted by the sound of someone walking closer making her let out a loud sigh. “So much for being alone.” She spoke softly, not intending for the other person to hear it.
