Gripe

They say it’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

I think that’s true.  I’ve had friends leave recently (some with good reason and some that just disappeared) that have left a hole in my heart.  Still, I’d rather experience that knowing the abundance of joy I had while they were with me (and may know again in the future).

None the less, it’s a pretty big hole.

I can easily find a poetic rationalization for it, but I’m not a fan... at all.
