I've decided to get a tattoo that represents the struggle I've gone through the last 9 years due to my epilepsy. It changed my life and basically put it on hold for 5 years before the doctors could even figure out how to treat it and then another 2 years before the treatment even began to work. Not to mention the effects it has had on my mental health, my anxiety has never been as bad as it was during this time. But I've been resilient and was able to push through it all and have come out the other side stronger. So I've decided to get a tattoo, the only issue is I'm really struggling to find something that I like. I searched symbols and I didn't like them. I don't want a lotus or a Phoenix. It's really hard to find something that speaks to me that also shows what I've been through (for me anyway). I don't want words or the really commonly used symbols. I like flowers, mythology and nature. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. It's not going to be a big tattoo, the two places I like are my ankle or my inner elbow. I could do my side either. It won't be coloured. Nothing to realistic either because I'd be too afraid it wouldn't come out properly. Any ideas are welcome.
