Lord Darkness and Kreech doodle
Imagine an elf is given a job to do at a human institution. The humans think elves don’t need bathroom breaks, since they know they can hold it for days, but this elf has been traveling to reach their job, and has already been holding it to the point they are in pain. They ask for a break, but their job is important and time sensitive, so they admit they can still hold it when asked. After a full day of work, the elf tries to reach the bathroom in time, but they were never told where it is.
An odd one. The good lord elves those that elve thems elves.
It's not that I don't know much about Fantasy, which I don't anyway, so there is more out there than I can cope with! I've no idea where this ref evolved. Gerbils have certainly had their fling. Terry Pratchett would put a condom machine in Middle Earth, and had it in for elves generally, quite unlike Tolkein. I remember this ask materialising- it was a Wednesday after the 1st or 2nd episode of Series two of Elenquest was repeated (again) on Radio4extra ( it goes back to approx 2009 +/-), so I assumed it was a UK ask, but there's nothing about elves toilet habits, or mores to the point upon which I was wondering: how it could possibly evolve as a separate fan in thing that writers pick up on. Like gerbils.
I'll happily provide a link to Elvenquest.
Sam assumes leadership of the quest and Lord Darkness fakes a win.
It's BBC so you have to sign into their Sounds site which is a bugger if you don't have the app.
Just to remind you, it is a radio show with no visuals apart from the pictures in your head. However some very nice fan based types have animated it to the sound track and it's on you tube. This is quite dedicated fan work and I was really pleased to find a short clip:
It's funny how Lord Darkness is imagined. I've always had him a s version of Evil Harry Dread from Terry Pratchett's The last Hero as drawn by Paul Kidby, and it only just shows that it's uncanny how our minds are programmed to think visually. If you remember that that in the time of The Last Hero, they're all very very old men who should have retired long long ago, it's basically the same person.
Anyway I must dash. I need to pee. But I've got a spare if you really really need:
Kaebar: You cannot defeat me, I am invincible!
Vidar: Oh really? Then how is it I can see you?
Is there actually a film that's a crossover of Star Wars and DC? I think it had Batman, although he was acting more like a villain. Also Harley and briefly Joker. I can't remember what was Star Wars-ey about it, but it was. It might also have some things from Elvenquest, which is a parody of LOTR. It was in a dream I had. I think it might have been made up for the dream, but I really wish it was real.
