When Grace is on Rocky’s ship, we see Rocky showing Grace designs on the ship wall, which I think are insignias that represent the original crew of 23 Eridians.
He’s telling Grace about his crew members.

I am blown away that the karaoke scene in the Project Hail Mary movie was not originally written into the script. It was a 'happy accident' that got thrown together and came out beautifully.
While filming, Sandra Hüller (Stratt) would sing just for fun between takes. Ryan Gosling looked at the directors and was like "it's crazy that we are not having her sing in the movie." Hüller had been wrapping up P.J. Harvey on stage in Germany, and the directors felt that they would be depriving the PHM audience of something if they didn't have her sing.
With TWO DAYS left on the boat set, they asked Hüller if she would be okay singing and filming it (the directors knew that it's not a chill thing to ask of an actor with so little time to prepare, but they were just hoping that she would be down).
So she said "I'll do it, but I get to pick the song." She went home that night and picked Sign of the Times by Harry Styles, and was like "This is what I would like to say to Grace and the other astronauts who are going to go fly to their death" (this is the directors paraphrasing what she said) "It's gonna be alright."
It's a way for Stratt to reveal the deep feeling she has for all of these people on the Hail Mary project. Because of who her character is, she has to stay separated from her feelings and from everyone else in this project she's leading, she has to deny herself that camaraderie that everyone else finds comfort in.
While filming that scene, the cast and crew were flabbergasted and blown away by Hüller's singing, and the directors knew immediately "that's going in the movie." And it became the thing that really binds the whole movie together.
I am in awe at the creative directions this movie went in, and everything I find out about how it all came together makes me love it even more.
All of this information and paraphrasing I got from watching this very good behind the scenes video of the making of PHM
I love Bobby, he seems like such a genuine friend with all the girls

The fact that Ryland Grace's fox cardigan is a design conceptualized and made by Ryan Gosling and his wardrobe team. And it is also a little easter egg for his kids.
No wonder all the replicas that I want to buy are so expensive, they're remaking a one of a kind design.
I am SO GLAD they showed the interior of Rocky's ship in the Project Hail Mary movie!!!! I love that they added it even when it wasn't in the book, and I love how they did it. Though I have no confirmation on this, I'm assuming Andy Weir didn't put it in the book because he was probably like "I have no idea how to describe in words how this looks without making it visual."
That's my theory. If it's wrong, who cares, I love that they added it. It's so cool and such a fun treat to the fans.
