Monster Index Update

I think I missed a weekly update or two.  Anyways we’ll consider this update the one that should have gone at the start of the week.

I now have a Monster Index on my blog you can use to easily find any monster stats I have made for any franchise and uploaded here.

In the meanwhile: I’ve been playing more Battle for Azeroth (though to be honest it’s kinda slowed down a lot for me.  There doesn’t seem to be as much stuff to do at max level so far as Legion had, hell... even Warlords of Draenor kept my attention for longer than this.  Just too much stuff is gated behind reputation grinds, and Warfronts came out three days ago but as Horde I can’t actually do much with that yet.  Between this and being made the villain faction again I’m pretty disappointed.

I’m also working on my second Mini-Bestiary.  Awhile ago I uploaded to DMsguild my Untamed Wilds, I’m currently working on a second mini-bestiary based on ocean encounters.  It’ll have stuff like Flying Fish (actual fish and sharks with wings), Coral Golems, Sea Serpents, and various beasts and NPCs.

Mini Bestiary - Untamed Wilds 1

I’ve uploaded my first pdf to 'DMs Guild’ today, after finally working through how to run Adobe Indesign and set up pricing on their website.

It is a miniature bestiary based on the wilderness, creature stats and ideas of my creation to help fill out your 5e Dungeons & Dragons encounters and only costs $1 USD. - Fungus Dryads - Maneating Flowers - Ancient and Sapling Treants - Dire Animals (Bear, Beaver, Fox, and Tiger) - Druid NPCs based on the Circle of Land and Moon Archetypes from the player’s handbook. ((This is the first in a series of Mini-Bestiaries I want to do, centered around themes or locations.  Everything is more or less an original creation or a variation on monsters you might already be familiar with.))

October Update

I haven’t done much for a month, have I?  Been a little preoccupied, just started DMing a new weekly campaign and also playing in like 3 more.  Plus still playing a little Battle for Azeroth here and there among other games.

Warcraft Playable D&D Races. I have a few projects planned for the future.  First and foremost is that I’m messing around with a Warcraft setting for D&D 5e.  Currently messing with all the main race options you’d have to choose from!  That might be a thing I upload here in the future.  (A long time ago there was a 3rd ed D&D World of Warcraft book made by Sword and Sorcery Studios, except that was official and my thing is just going to be for fun).

1000 Follows Upcoming and Monster Poll. But I should also make some more monster stats.  That is basically the reason you’re all here right?  So to help figure out what monsters I should stat, and to celebrate hitting 1000 followers soon (I’m at like 950 at the time of writing this), we’re going to have a poll!  Here are the options to vote on, I will make monster pages for the winner on hitting 1000 subscribers and probably make a new page design to go with them: - 1. Shadow of the Colossus (a few select colossus) - 2. The Diablo Series (I’m thinking Diablo himself, maybe the Butcher, and some common enemies) - 3. Salt and Sanctuary (A few of the more interesting foes)

As always commissions for monsters are always open, if you want to get and pick and choose what creatures are turned into playable D&D stats.

Start of the Week Update: 2nd Week of August

I might do these now and then, mostly as a ploy to make you all think this blog is a little more active than it really is.  So lets get to the update.

1. I finished the Elder Scrolls monsters (all based on Skyrim because I did another achievement run of that game recently).  Dragons, Atronachs, Dwarven Automatons, and Mudcrabs.  This is the last of Elder Scrolls stuff you’ll likely see until I get commissioned or their next game comes out.

2. My next big project will either be Shadow of the Colossus or Salt and Sanctuary.  Depending on how I feel in maybe a week from now.  I’m on the last boss of Salt and Sanctuary now and Shadow of the Colossus has been a long time favorite of mine.

3. I’m making more original 5e creations that I’m going to upload to DM’s Guild in PDF format.  Probably as a “Pay what you want” sort of deal.  Current plans is a series of Mini-Bestiaries all centered around themes that will have 3 monsters (new stuff or variations on existing Monster Manual creatures), some animals, and some NPCs. The first project is “Untamed Wilds”: Fungus Dryads, Man eating Flowers, Ancient Treants, more Dire Animals, and NPC Druids based on the player handbook’s archetypes.

4. Battle for Azeroth comes out tomorrow for those in North America (such as for Canadians like me).  So before I lock myself away and disappear into Azeroth I’ll have a little World of Warcraft based 5e D&D upload tomorrow.  Some powerful magical weapons.

1000 Followers!

So hey!  I hit it!  1000 followers!  As per what I mentioned before, this means I’ll be making some monsters based on the setting that won the poll.  Which... unsurprisingly was Shadow of the Colossus! So I’ll get to work shortly on a page theme, and some monster stats, for a few of game’s titular monsters. In other news I’ve been playing Final Fantasy XIV, and got in the mood to stat some of their beasties too.  Expect Chocobos and the Malboro in the near future.

Start of the Week Update: 3rd Week of August

So I’ve got the worst of Battle for Azeroth out of my system, me and the bf played every day from Monday to Friday leveling our characters together and doing the quests on the Horde side and a few of the dungeons.

I honestly have to say, while I like dinosaurs and Vulpera and I absolutely love all the Loa on Zandalar and their voice actors... the stuff going on the Alliance side looks a little more interesting really.  What with the ships and pirates and ancient druidic monsters.  Warcraft 2 was the game that got me into the series and pirate orcs will always hold a special place in my heart.

Maybe I’ll make another small Warcraft update soon.  Devilsaurs maybe.
