Taking slow painful steps in the deep snow hoping to find someplace to claim as a shelter for tonight pulling on the cow's reins not wanting to lose her only friend in this world. Ayrll took shaky breaths hating the feeling of the cold burrowing its way into her body and felt her cold air brush against the pink frosted cheeks begging to be warmed.
It hurt. All of it. Being gone for too long, not finding any clues to his whereabouts. Was this really how she'll spend her life? Find whatever was left of him to get some sort of ending to her question whether he was alive or not?
Grass, her beloved cow, whined and nudged her gently allowing Ayrll to know that it was cold and they were trying to keep her warm. Gentle patting to Grass's head not wanting to stop moving. If they stopped, they won't move again and the snow will take ahold of them. Rubbing Grass's ear as they walked side by side now as the cow on alert for any unwanted monster that could come out. Ayrll was already in enough danger of being deaf no need for her to be attacked. Her only source of light was running out of oil and now clearly working on fumes and soon it'll be dark for her.
But no matter the cost, the search for the missing boy was worth the long, painful trek.
Silence before a loud scream erupted from Ayrll's throat as she swung a normal stick towards some sort of animal the girl had supposedly seen but when clearing her eyes it was simply Grass swinging a blanket from his bag out for Ayrll.
