Is it Bad to be Different?
We all have our differences. Different races, beliefs, colors, gender preferences, personality, opinions, ways such as ways of living, ways of thinking, etc.. Some people are not happy about being different, and some people appreciate diversity. Some people will brag you, discriminate you, and make fun of you because you are different. People are experiencing different types of discrimination because of their culture, color, nationality, gender, height, and many more even your different way of thinking. They judge and criticize you for being different. And sometimes they give compliment to people different from them. But is it bad to be different? Are differences important? Why do we have differences?
We are all unique and have differences. We are designed that way and it's beautiful. God designed trillions of galaxies, each has millions of stars, and it also has planets in it. Earth is the only planet we live, but Earth is not the only planet. Scientists say they found a planet that is very similar to ours that can also sustain life. There are theories about parallel universe where they say that there is a very identical universe, earth, and us but in a different dimension. Some people believe it's real, while some people don't. But who cares? Of course we do! It brings curiosity to our minds. Does it matter if it's real or not? Well, it may actually matter to some people, but not all people. How will it affect people if it's real or not? Will it change the people's behavior? Way of thinking? What will change? What will happen? For now, nothing is sure but everything is possible.
It's okay to be different! It is certainly okay to be changed and to create change. Change is normal so as differences as it is how we are properly designed. We just have to look on the bright side. And live with a positive attitude, appreciating who we are, and what we are. We are different because we have different purposes. Being different is actually good. Difference is what makes you stand out from the crowd. Difference, if you embrace, will bring you to greatness just like Bobby Fischer, who is a Chess Grandmaster, and the first American to defeat the Russians in the World Chess Championship. He succeeded because he played differently. He created his own different way of playing chess, and he won as he always knew he will. However, being different does not mean being perfect. Who says we have to be perfect? Diversity may define our differences, but it's purpose is not to divide us but to bring us together to complete the puzzle picture.
