Aw look, I even took a family portrait. :)
Pine Lake Farewell: Frost
Almeric lost his next mayoral election and decided to retire from politics to work on his businesses and focus on his family. The businesses never reached top-level, but his daughters turned out well.
Kiera held on to her architecture career long into her golden years, but when she finally did retire, she passed on the company to her apprentice, Gavin Newson. She also retired most of her own grudges, but her ongoing enmity with the local contessa remained as undead as the vampire. With some help from police chief Eowyn, she managed to track down her long lost brother and attempted to make peace with him. Once the girls moved out, she adopted another dog and is ready to fight anysim who tries telling her she and Almeric can’t bring him into the seniors home with them.
Emerald was generally happy to fade into the background with her bestie, Erika Swain, but her more playful nature drew her into a few other circles. She got to know Orlando Bertino through the school’s physics club, and they remained friends throughout university. They didn’t start dating until after graduation; however, an engagement announcement came very quickly after.
Social butterfly Elise surprised everysim by dating shy Sebastian Ruben, and even persuaded him to be in the community production of Simerella with her. (She was the star; he was a coachman.) She also met her best friend, Gabriella Newson, through the play, though at first Gabby held a grudge for Elise getting the lead instead of her. They are now roommates at university, both studying drama.
Kiera: Can anysim explain to me why we agreed to play cards with an actual pirate??
Ferdinand: Pfft, you're just looking for excuses for when you lose, sis. And I— Oh...
Kiera: You what? Are in league with this brigand? I knew it!
Leif: *cough* Cordelia at 6 o'clock. *cough*
Kiera: Perfect! Ferdy, now's your chance. Just go talk to her. Tell her she looks nice today or something. You have got to stop moping around avoiding her. Just clear the air!
Cordelia: Ferdy, I thought we agreed to give each other space...
Ferdinand: Yeah, I guess we did. Uh...sorry.
Fortunately Ferdy's cute-as-a-button nieces are there to cheer him up.
And the rounds ends with some exhausting gardening.
Erika invites her friends over for her birthday. No, it isn't a party. She has zero outgoing points and has a permanent fear of parties. She grows into something her aunt Freyja must have left lying around, ha ha, but then gets an appropriate farm girl makeover.
Speaking of Freyja, aunt and uncle join in late, but that just means the non-party can go long into the night. Erika isn't particularly close with her aunt, and nosim is sure if they approve of her boyfriend Jonah yet, but Erika and Uncle Thor are very close in age and so he's almost like a big brother to her. He's one of the few that can bring out her goofy side. :)
Natasha is the local teacher, so she's usually at work, but today I tagged along with her. :)
It's very chaotic, but so cute to see the kids making new friends...and in some cases, nemeses...
It might be a mod conflict, but I could not get the kids to sit down and do schoolwork for more than a minute before they stopped with the red thought bubble that they needed fun. But I also had all the kids controllable thanks to the meeting controller, and their fun meters were fine. At least art class is a hit...though not as popular as recess!
And yes, school ran a bit late today. That's probably why the kids got into such feisty moods.
Looks like I was trying out the pool party mod. Cool. The entire family is invited...and Anya Bratford, for some reason. But more surprising is the fact that Kiera came. Although they'll never have a close father-daughter relationship, it seems she and Guy have finally made peace.
So many kids! I love it!
Elise is way more outgoing, but Emerald joins in the fun too. Though she doesn’t quite seem to understand the concept of tag--you’re supposed to run, girl!
