The Troubadour-Healey Manor -- Exterior
Opening my Build a City Challenge feels like coming home...
The new community lots this round include a barn to hold weddings in and a cheap, small produce stall on the side of the road to unlock groceries and proper meals.
Another small house for my BaCC neighborhood, this time for a small family with a dog.
Hey friends, I'm alive!
I didn't mean to disappear for a whopping 4+ months (!!!), but alas. Work continues to kick my butt, and I also did a bit of traveling! To France, Lithuania, Kosovo, and Croatia, to be precise! Some of it was for leisure and some of it was for work, but I ain't complaining either way. 😁
I also caught some simming moments here and there, albeit with mixed results. I was trying to set up some new things in Wyvern's Bay, decorate new rooms, move some households around, etc. etc., but my game's been a moody old hag lately. After multiple failed attempts to load the Moonfeather household (which is next up in the BACC), I said 'screw it' and decided to skip them altogether.
For the sake of blog continuity, I compiled some pics I had of them from before and wrote out a short recap post, which is what's coming up next. The following family on the rotation wheel are the Blackbirds, whose lot I mercifully was able to load, so once I'm done editing the pics & captioning the posts, I can continue posting BACC updated for real!
One of my playable sims asked the npc mailwoman to go steady with her autonomously...so yeah, I'm definitely making her a playable this round. So I built Seaport's first post office! I'm still thinking if I should make small lots with a park + newspaper kiosk that the SimNation Postal Service could run....maybeeeeee
I based the exterior of the post office off of one of the post offices in my old town :)
Anyways, sims can come in and buy office supplies, boxes, and newspapers! I have some modded mail stuff in my game that I wanna figure out how it works :p if they are able to send things by mail then yay :D
