Prismo, why aren't you doing anything about this blatant continuity violation?!
Aurgh, what is it now, Scrabby?
This 'Cotton Candy Princess'! I mean, not only is the existence of a second Candy-Person monarch makes little sense with the established timeline of this universe, but this woman was previously only implied to exist in the distant past of the hero known as Billy! There are pictures of her as an elderly woman around Princess Bubblegum's castle! Even if we are to accept that this woman exists, and is not merely a result of a tell-tale about an overhyped muscleman, she should not look as she did in that flashback! This is blatantly breaking the rules of this universe.
Jeez, relax, Scrabby, you know it's no big deal...
…No big deal?
I mean, c'mon, the creators just wanted cameos from all the minor princesses in the show and Cotton Candy Princess got put on the list. Or maybe they just wanted to put in a nostalgic nod to the first season? Something like that?
But it doesn't make any sense!
Eh, it doesn't really diminish the overall point of this subplot about deconstructing fairytale romance trope, you know? So it's not harming anything important. Beside, I bet if someone really wanted to, they could probably outline a fan-theory that explains why Cotton Candy Princess exists and why there's pictures of her as an old lady in Bubblegum's Castle and how she got de-aged and apparently met Finn off-screen during the 12 year time skip. You can totally make it work?
…How?
I dunno. Not my problem?
THEN WHOSE PROBLEM IS IT?
