            Shadow gave a small shake of his head. Clearly he wasn’t getting his train of thought across, but that was fine. At the very least he knew Rouge wouldn’t out right bully him for his lack of understanding on some things on earth. Just only lightly tease him. Yet going on the topic of alternate realties, the black hedgehog straightens his posture and puts a serious expression on his face.

            ❛  Theoretically, yes, Chaos Control can take me anywhere. It requires me visualizing a place, but I have used ‘feeling’ to direct me once or twice. It is incredibly dangerous to do that; however, so I try to not do that if at all possible. Maybe someday I will get stuck in an alternate dimension where you actually get the Master Emerald. ❜ he states in a serious tone, though there was the faintest of glimmer in his ruby eyes at his dry jest. He crosses his arms over his chest as she continues on, listening intently with his ear flickering in her direction.

            ❛  I am not one to ask about night and day cycles, although I do agree that I would prefer the night persisting for longer. ❜ Which was far more innocent then Rouge’s reasoning. ❛  Perhaps you should live in the more northern or southern hemispheres of the planet. I hear that the day and night cycles persist for longer depending on the season. ❜

Ruby eyes lift from where Wander had been staring at the ground to settle on Sonic. Suddenly the striped hedgehog's muscles don't feel quite so heavy. Vibrant green eyes and striking blue fur cut through the fog in his mind like a beam of sunlight.

It's a strange effect, frightening enough to have Wander denying it, almost wanting to run from it, but he can't. He can't resist the warmth of that smile. And deep down he doesn't want to.

"I know," he replies simply, smiling in that subtle way he often does, but somehow his eyes are so soft. Always far too soft when looking at this blue hedgehog- it's even harder to mask it when Sonic's going to the trouble of reaching out to him like this.

However, anxiety hasn't released its hold on Shadow just yet, so he shrugs. "But I don't wanna worry you. Besides, I already feel a lot better with you here now."

Static hazed his mind like a fog, making coherent thought... somewhat difficult. Even now, after the months that had passed since his fall to Earth, Shadow found it challenging to recall certain things upon waking. Bouts of amnesia that clung to him like wet paper, shrouding his identity and his past in mystery. He could recall faces, names. But who they were in relation to the Ultimate Lifeform... that part he still struggled with.

“ Hm.. ” Shadow hums thoughtfully, hands flexing at his sides. Sonic. He was an enigma to the hybrid. So similar to himself, and yet, so vastly different. Someone he had come to respect, perhaps even admire ( not that he’d ever so willingly admit ) but even allyships slipped from his mind like smoke in the wake of his disjointed memories. “ Should I be relieved ? ”
