How would NotLawrence Aster rank the portrayals of Batman on a tier list?

feel like pure shit just want to watch the PhoenixDestiny VOD of his guilty gear stream while also dictating a batman movie actor's tier list to his loyal video editor (Chazz) and getting increasingly aggressive and worked up over this topic. legendary Aster Phoenix streams.

(Chazz kept asking for a tier after filling out every one until Aster finally said fine and then he just put lego batman movie in it. If pressed Aster really doesn't want to admit it but he does actually think it's one of the best batman movies, OK? OK ARE YOU HAPPY, CHAZZ??)

You once said to me that you like drawing the Barians with freaky appendages like giving Nasch and Merag tails, so as part of your "ask me about things I like" prompt, why not explain what you'd give each Barian! (you do not have to draw these)

HELL YEAAAAA LET'S GET critters >:)

whenever i one day go back to do the full lineup of Barian stylizations I'm sure I'll go back and adjust my thoughts even more but i really like the idea of the Barians either having fins or fur tufts, alongside hooves (theyre demons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) tails of some kind (THEYRE DEMONS!!! GIVE 'EM DEMON FEATURES!!!) and their existing claws and rocky scaly 'skin.' Make 'em a little more digitigrade too, most likely. The fins vs. furs gives a cool sort of 'two subspecies' type dichotomy with room for variation between each individual (since I like specifically draw from particular animals for each other.)

Anyway, lemme recall my specific visions:

Nasch/Nash and Merag/Marin: fins of course, webbed claws, visible gills--there's soooo much potential to make them both more aquatic!! Give em long almost mermaid-ish like fanned tails and bright colored neck/head/arm fins to really just show off their regal status. I did draw 'em once a couple years ago, I like specifically thinking about betta fish when it comes to color details for them...iridescent, vibrant scales

Durbe/Dumon: fur tufts! Specifically recalling classical unicorns and griffons, give him the long fur-lined tail and hoof/arm fur, possibly some bigger, sturdier hooves to recall Mach and invoke Dumon's steadfast nature and loyalty.

Alito: fur tufts too! More lion like for him; long, thin tail with a fur tuft, bigger claws... could be fun to try and figure out how to give him a little bit of a 'mane,' I love when scaly gnarly inorganic type aliens have cool manes, I think with his color palette one could really pop too.

Mizar/Mizael: I think he was the first Barian I re-stylized, because his canon alien design looks Kind of Bad </3 Fur tufts all the way for him, invoking eastern dragons of course. Long dragony tail, make his hair trail down his back, adjust his color palette a bit to give him some piebald-type markings and more variation in the yellow tones of his design. I'm sure I could push the dragon look even more with him tbh....

Girag: OK SO MOST OF THESE GUYS ARE FURRED DEMONS I AM REALIZING but fur tufts just work well for him! Particularly ox/bull inspired, I'd give him a really short little tufted tail, I know he's wagging that sucker all the time. Would have to see if I could push a more 'horns'ish look with his head spines/mohawk. Duller, less prominent claws, bulkier hooves like Dumon.

Vector: god he's such a weird case here. Classic Vector move to make things a little difficult. I've drawn him with particularly spiky/classic devil type tails with an arrowheaded tip before, but between the fur vs fic dicotymy I lean more towards him having finned traits. Gives a fun implication that helped him swim to the bottom of the Barian Sea, and an equally fun counter to Nasch. His neck fins are a lot smaller and he only gets smaller fin implications with his ears, and instead of an explicitly tipped tail I think I'd give him something like a cutlass fish or a slender snipe-eel's tail, whip-thin and pointed with some fins running down the top and bottom, if any.

sidenote wtf is wrong with snipe-eels WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE THAT. SPAGHETTI.

i actually do have an answer for this and it's about as insane as PLZA bringing lysandre back into relevancy to begin with is tbqh. (for context, there's a social media app in kansas AU called Fleur-de-Lis that was started and run by Lysandre and his company. It's basically French Truthsocial and it fucking sucks. A bunch of other Pokemon baddies are posting on there lol. Syrus downloaded it to help him learn French and now he cant stop keeping an eye on it, it's like watching a trainwreck)

ANYWAY Lysandre went from posting near daily about how the world could be beautiful If Sacrifices Were Made, and posting pictures of his breakfast, and his pet lion (syrus voice "THAT CANT BE LEGAL, RIGHT??") to going completely radio silent on FDL after shit went sideways and he was, according to sources, buried in the rubble of the ruined facility that was testing a privately owned, potentially nuclear weapon he was supposedly funding the construction of. 🥴 AND YOU'D THINK THAT WOULD BE IT, AND YET ! Randomly like 10 months later he showed up again on FDL with a blacked-out icon and a completely different look on life. He says he has amnesia??? He's re-flaring mutual aid posts and disturbing vast sums to French welfare networks and charities???? IS FLEUR-DE-LIS.... WOKE NOW???????!?!? All of the other billionaires and politicians on the site are losing their goddamn minds and Lysandre (excuse me, "L") is just posting pictures of his rescue doberman taking a nap next to him. And Syrus cannot stay off his phone following these developments. i cant even blame him

They have a very talented, sweet son that they should be proud of. Dunno if you've been asked this before but out of curiosity, how would you rank each of the Gallop era protagonists in terms of how they are to draw and the little stylization quirks you give them (like Yuya's gap tooth or Yusaku's eczema for instance)?

THIS IS SUCH A FUN QUESTION it's hard to put them into any sort of solid numbered list/ranking, but lemme just sorta ramble about each one of 'em 💃plus some quick doodles of my current stylizations for the six of 'em

YUGI: SO STARTING OFF WITH KIND OF A WEIRD CASE. for me anyway, but Yugi is like... he isnt Hard for me to draw, I've since conquered his crazyass hair years ago, I can knock out a doodle of him pretty quick, but when I first got back into ygo to now he's always been really hard for me to try and stylize. idk why, maybe just cuz his design is already SO fine tuned and zany and Truly Iconic nothing's really grabbed me in the 'little details to add' department... (I feel like I have this with Kaiba too tbh. it might just be a DM cast thing #spinoffwarrior) I DO like giving him various earrings, though, I think I've played with other facial piercings in the past with him too. maybe i should give him more goth makeup next too 🤔

JADEN: ok i lied when i said it's too hard to rank them Jaden is definitely like. my TOP yutag when it comes to ease of drawing and stylizing him. The second "Jaden is fat" spawned in my brain like a message from God it felt like everything clicked into place. He's probably the only yutag I can draw consistently without looking at a reference. I love giving him some scruff and some pimples, he's just so particularly fun to hit with the Just Some Guy beam. patchy beard baby tboy of all time. I LOVE DRAWING HIM....

YUSEI: Yusei meanwhile has been like... idk, it's been hard to land on a consistent stylization of him that I'm happy with, despite having been drawing him since like 2022 by now lol, AND really enjoying his canon design. I looove indigenous south/central american Yusei and I know in my heart he's got scars and scruff and a stocky build, but I feel like I'm still trying to figure out his face shapes (and face shapes are super important to me wrt character stylization so having trouble there is always a bit of an ordeal :,) ) im sure i'll get there eventually. I need to play more with his nose shape...

YUMA: AAAH I HATE SAYING THIS. BECAUSE I LOVE YUMA SO MUCH. HES SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER but man i think he's definitely the hardest yutag for me to draw AND to really get a good stylized grip on. like. i Can Draw Him Fine, but for whatever reason his design is very 'slippery' in my mind, i cant grip him steady enough to have a Vision with him beyond just his regular on model design. I know he's got a busted nose scar and he's Latino asf but stylistically this kid eludes me. It might just be that in the scheme of yugiohs I've drawn less zexal stuff than some other series (WHICH I FULLY ADMIT IS A SHAME. BECAUSE ZEXAL IS THE BEST ONE)

YUYA: he's definitely up there with Jaden in terms of "yutags that are the easiest for me to draw and stylize"--I had the freckles and tooth gap in my mind for him for over a year before I started Arc-V and it just feels so right to me <3 The bigger nose, too, I got that from a friend drawing my Yuri with one last year and I LOVED it. I feel like in general Yuya's been pretty easy to pick up and draw since by nature of arc-v he's got three other guys who have the same face, so I have a lot of little opportunities to try and add little details to help differentiate the yuboys' physical features. I do still have a bit of trouble with getting the red part of his hair to look 'right' though.. kind of swoops and sticks out at weird angles :/c

YUSAKU: alright first thing's first there's a line in the vrains dub where Ai says something will set off Yusaku's eczema, so as far as i'm concerned that's just CANON. THEY GAVE ME THAT ONE FOR FREEEEEEE otherwise idk how or why but Yusaku ended up being way easier to draw than I thought he'd be, both just canon design wise and stylistically speaking. His personality is really fun to try and radiate in his features, he's a bit of a puzzle box of balancing lots of eyecatching shapes (oblong head, big nose) with a sort of quietly intense, lowkey tiredness (droopy eyes, small mouth,) I definitely think I'd put him up there in the "rankings"

excited to find out how i'll come to stylize yuga and yudias in the future too!!
