My name is Dr. Mohammed. I spent my life in a laboratory, dedicated to science and healing in Gaza. But today, my titles don’t matter. Today, I am simply a father who is failing to keep his children dry. 🌧️

I have two children: Israa and Suhaib. 👧🏻👦🏻

Right now, home is a shredded tent. When it rains, we don’t just hear the storm; we live in it. My children sleep on water. Literally. 🌊 They wake up trembling, not just from the cold, but from the rats and insects that crawl over us in the dark. 🐀🐜

I lost my home. I lost my career. But I cannot lose them.

There is a glimmer of hope: I found a small, unfinished apartment in the north. It’s just bare concrete with no real walls, but it has a roof. To a father whose children sleep in the mud, a roof is a miracle. 🏠✨

We urgently need $1,700 to make this shell a home:

The laboratories where I worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist 🔬 are gone, and the system I served has collapsed. Now, my only mission is to stay awake all night, moving soaked blankets and lifting my children away from the rising water inside our torn tent.

I studied to fight disease; now, I struggle just to keep my babies dry. 🕯️
