Trails at Emerson Point Beach
We are exploring the wild beaches of Emerson Point Park on Snead Island on the West side of Palmetto. This park is just at the point where the Manatee River runs into the saltwater of Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. There along the beach is a lovely trail that weaves between the palms and Sea Grape trees and meanders near the sort beaches.

Wild Beach at Emerson Point Palmetto
We are at Emerson Point Park in the sleepy town of Palmetto, Florida way out at the West end of Snead Island. Here the Manatee River joins the saltwater of Tampa Bay as it goes into the Gulf of Mexico. The beaches here are wild with small bits of white sand and Mangrove and Seagrape trees growing right near the water. The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is off in the distance.

Emerson Point Park Palmetto
If you are driving through Palnetto, Florida you should drive out to the far West end to Snead Island. Here you will find a great park at Emerson Point where there is a famous Indian Shell Mound several stories tall, many long boardwalks for miles with trails leading out to saltwater, a large tower, and a wild beach.
