How I feel about her: she’s so chaotic 😂 I feel like she could do anything and I would accept it. in the bar session she opened conversation with Arvel by threatening to stab him and I didn’t plan that at all, she just went for it 😂 she has a special place in my heart because she was the first dnd character I’d created in a while

All the people I ship romantically with her: Jasper, of course (someday they’ll get together in canon 😭)

My non-romantic OTP for her: absolutely love her friendship with Morty. whenever Hasihna’s not around, they squabble like children but they can also have some really touching moments. that rock skipping scene where they talk about their issues remains one of my favorite scenes in all of the campaigns

My unpopular opinion about her: she’s got to face her fears; I don’t think she’s ever faced them head on before, only run away, but if she doesn’t stand her ground against them she’s going to be running for the rest of her life because she can’t outrun herself

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with her in canon: that she used the orb of luck she has more often 😂😂

she’s got one and she never actively tries to use it, it’s like at the bottom of her backpack or something 😂

Liesl

How I feel about her: she’s amazing, she always asks such good questions and she’s guaranteed to be the first one to see through any tricks/illusions/red herrings I may have set up, I love her

All the people I ship romantically with her: uhhh I don’t actually know? I think the closest we got to romance with Liesl was when she got all flustered by Cathal getting the mud out of her hair (but like, he’s technically engaged even if he doesn’t seem all that enthused about it)

My non-romantic OTP for her: her and Ness have the best friendship, and I love how far they’ve come since they first met

My unpopular opinion about her: she relies too much on ordering the world around her (contracts and such), and I think something’s going to come along that doesn’t fit into any type of order she knows, something that directly affects her worldview, and it’s going to be quite hard for her

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with her in canon: I would have liked to see her bring Uallach all the way back to Uallach’s family. I genuinely didn’t intend for Uallach to die, but then I rolled a one for her and that was the end of that. I had a few plans for Liesl, Uallach, and Ness, and I was sad to see them go (though maybe I can rework them for just Ness and Liesl)

Mael:

How I feel about him: a sweetheart who I love, I’m very sorry about all the trouble I’m causing him, he doesn’t deserve it 😭

All the people I ship romantically with him: none

My non-romantic OTP for him: I do really love his broship with Arvel, but I also love his friendship with Liesl, it’s so good

My unpopular opinion about him: he needs to stop falling for things and trying to make deals!! I hope he’s learned his lesson!! (I’m just kidding; I would never set up such a plot line in order to teach him a lesson about offering deals to strange beings in the woods, never!...or would I 👀)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with him in canon: I would have liked to see Mael in Emne Fail on his own, when the group was given the chance to split up. I had plans for anything the characters did, whether they went back to the library or on to Emne Fail, or even back to their homes, and one of those plans was Mael searching for Mugron. (This is why Grian mentions Mugron goes by another name; Mael would have encountered him under this name and also Mugron’s companions, who were quite interesting to plot out, before discovering who Mugron actually was). But this plan was scrapped due to more than one person coming along with Mael, and also due to time, since I felt it would be a distraction from the main plot and that things had been dragging on for some time. I would have done it if it had been one person, because I feel like that could have been very interesting, but maybe it would have worked better as a story than as a campaign run in real time.
