Milo Callum wasn’t always ready to face the world. In fact, there were times where he felt like he was at his lowest point, and that there was no one but his sister who could help him. He was currently reeling from the latest headline: Milo Callum, off the deep end? It was a ridiculous, out of context picture as well – one that showed how “off the deep end” he was. He was at a bar, midway through a harmless shot of whiskey, surrounded by people he had already forgotten the names of. The unfortunate part of the whole thing was the fact that Milo had indeed been off his rocker, but no one actually knew that. “Can I just stay here for a while? Please?” He knew his sister wouldn’t berate him – she wouldn’t call him dramatic, either. Instead, he felt his sister pull him into a hug, allowing him to rest against her shoulder as they sat there on the couch. No one understood how much he wanted people to leave him alone sometimes – and right there, in his sister’s arms, he finally felt like he was safe.
Milo wasn’t sure where he was or how he’d gotten there. Better yet, he had no idea who the guy in bed with him was, either. He looked like his type, though. Attractive, blonde, blue eyes. He felt dizzy, the same hangover from the night before that he was so used to ever prominent in his head. He had been on another cocaine binge, one that left him having zero fucks left to give in life. Pulling his phone closer to him, he squinted as he read the time, and the date. Since when was it February? Hitting Emily’s contact, he put the phone to his ear. He had no sense of time, considering the fact it was barely seven in the morning and he was in New York, and she was in Seattle – a bright and early four am. Of course she didn’t answer, and instead he got her voicemail, “Emilyyyyy. Heyyyy, Em.” He closed his eyes, trying to remember which way was up and why he was moving so much. He wasn’t, but he was certain the bed was, “Uh – listen, when was our birthday, again? Did I miss it? I sent you a gift. It’s my album – I signed it. Yep. Went platinum um…one time. I can’t remember when. Anyway, when you get this, just know I love you. Kiss kiss, byeeee.”
