I’ve had red hair envy since The Little Mermaid I think
I mostly envied Ariel her amazing weightless bangs! My first big red-hair crush that I can remember was Satine in Moulin Rouge, which is when I convinced my mom to let her stylist friend dye my hair, but she never made it as red as I wanted (we had been doing highlights for years and I am also convinced my mom had secretly told her not to go "too red" since my mom is terrified of hair dye because of an incident when she was a kid that is eerily similar to what happens to Anne Shirley when she tries to dye her hair...) so then Jean Grey in X3 (horrible movie, great hair), who has amazing dark red RED hair inspired me to start dying it myself at home, then in college I stopped for a while and then got re-inspired to be orange-red like Christina Hendricks but I didn't want to make the effort to bleach it so I still stuck with a dark red, which was boring and I actually forgot about doing until just now.
More recently there was Merida, who we don't talk about because she makes my hair feel bad about itself.
And then there's, you know, The Bennet Sisters, who are like a rainbow of redheads and I can't even decide which one I want to copy so I'm just stuck rolling around clutching at my own hair going "WHHYYYYYYY?"
This is a very interesting post you are welcome.

On a somewhat related note, I can’t watch Full House anymore without thinking of the LBD, so thanks for that
I think the most important thing that I am taking away from this is that you often try to watch Full House?
(You're welcome.)
