"I wasn't suggesting you get her a ring or anything. Just some candy," Emine scoffs at Felix as they walk through the aisles of the meticulously curated convenience store. It's a shock to see so many familiar names, and some not so familiar, probably Canadian, brands. The fact that shelves are full is the most shocking bit, and the fact that they're filled with things they'd actually want to eat is as well. "Her favorite are skittles. In case you wanted to know," she volunteers the information with a smirk and points to the sour ones, "we used to go to the bodega down the street and get a shit ton of sour candy, trying to find the most sour sour. The lime ones were pretty good but not perfect." @manybcdthings

+ BEN / GRAND HOTEL

"Maybe we can take a break?" Emine suggests with a sigh as ice shatters once more, falling into the bowl before her. "I didn't sleep well," she makes up the excuse, because it's easier than admitting something as elementary as creating ice has been a struggle. "Or the water's weird," Emine quips with a slight smile. "Would be easier by a river or something." Rather than Ben's room, with bowls of water between them. But given how limited they are in where they can go, it's better than nothing. "Maybe if we get on a watch or something? But I dunno, I heard that they're really picky about who gets to go on that.
