Let's talk about how we know everything about Rumple, down to his favorite breakfast food as a child, but have had literally 2 scenes in 3 complete seasons that give us a glimpse of Emma's life pre-Neal. Need to see less Emma. The nerve of some people.
The things is, while Emma is on screen a lot, we don’t get to find out as much about her, because she is always in the middle of the action, so she is generally pushing the plot forward. We get all kinds of flashbacks about the others, but nothing on her.
I am hopeful for S4. Firstly, their ‘young Emma’ casting in the finale was so spot on it seems likely they have more planned that one scene. Baby Neal could easily give the opportunity for some younger flashbacks to her childhood. Also with the addition of Frozen, could lead to some parallels to Emma’s childhood.
What I really want to see is some post-Neal flashbacks. How she got back on her feet, how she became a bailbonds person, how she created her life from nothing.
