Emma ran as far as she could away. It was raining and gloomy. Slowly Emma started to slow her pace until she found a place to sit for her aching feet. The minute she sat down she broke down and cried. Emma cried so hard. Everyone she had ever loved was dead. She finally got her revenge though. Two hours passed by until she decided to try and find a way to her new destination: her aunt's house. She hitched a ride from the nearest driver who seemed to be heading in that direction. Her aunt was the only person she has left now.
After thanking the driver for the ride she waved goodbye to the kind stranger and walked to the front door of her aunt's house. Emma shouted her for her aunt a few times until a bug like woman was standing before her. It was her Aunt D'Vorah. Emma sighed in relief as her aunt seemed surprised by the girl's physical state. "Emmy, what happened to you?" her aunt asked fretfully, ushering her inside, "please, come in and sit down with This One,".
Emma looked at her aunt, shaking. There was still some adrenaline left in her veins after the long run she'd had two hours prior and it still made her shake a little. "I killed him! I killed Shao Kahn!" she cried out in hysterics as she sat down on the floor and buried her face into her hands.
D'Vorah sat there in shock. "What did you do?" she asked. D'Vorah wasn't quite sure she'd heard the poor girl correctly.
"I killed Shao Kahn!" Emma answered her voice shaky as she said the words.
D'Vorah kept her eyes on Emma, "My sweet Emmy, you should get cleaned up. This One needs to have a very long talk with you." her aunt whispered in the girl's ear to make sure she heard her. Emma just nodded, wiping the tears away that dared to stain her face. Emma then went into her aunts bedroom, where she left some clothes there, just in case. She grabbed a purple tank top, pair of black pants sounds better and some underwear. She walked into the bathroom, setting her clothes on the counter next to the sink.
Emma took off her clothes and turned on the shower letting the warmth of the steam envelope her. For a moment, she felt somewhat like none of this ever happened and just focused on getting clean. As she continued the ritual of starting to get clean she didn't notice right away the extent of the state she looked in. She took time to go over her own body in the mirror. She had a few cuts and bruises but she couldn't make out if they were serious or not. After all, she was covered in blood. Opening the shower curtain she slipped in. The luke-warm water felt so relieving but still gave a slight sting on her wounds. She closed her eyes and thought about everything that happened in the last couple of days.
She took a deep breath, slowly letting it out. She opened her eyes and grabbed the shampoo, squeezing some of it into her hand and she began to wash her hair, gently massaging her light brown hair. She let the water rinse her hair out, as the remaining suds slipping down her back and down the drain. After she washed her hair, she grabbed the luffa and body wash. She lathered the body wash into the luffa and slowly started to wash herself, careful not to hurt herself or her wounds.
Once Emma got the body wash rinsed off, she turned off the water and got out. From under the sink she grabbed a towel and dried off. She walked over to her clothes and started to get dressed. Looking into the mirror to check again if she had any bad wounds she was pleased with her findings. Just minor cuts and bruises. She tried to smile, but she was too exhausted after all that had happened. When she finished she proceeded to walk into the living room to talk to her aunt. Her aunt was sitting on an eggsack, petting one of her many bugs looking at Emma, waiting for her. "Come and sit with This One honey," she said calmly. Emma nodded and sat next to her aunt with no questions asked.
"What has happened this time that you had to kill Shao Kahn?" D'Vorah asked. Emma took a few breaths before remembering all that happened. "My...mom..and dad." Emma pause after thinking about the fact that she may never see them ever again. "I want my daddy." Emma cried out. D'Vorah held her niece. Comforting her. "What happened to your parents?" D'Vorah asked, wondering what happened to her good friend Alice and her husband. "Mom wasn't moving and dad....I don't know where he is." Emma started but couldn't finish. The mire thought of her parents being dead crushed her. "This One will send a look out for them. Maybe Kotal will help find Kollector and Alice for you. If not then the snake can. Don't fret. This One is here for you."
