Woman On a Mission . Defending Ironman 70.3 Barcelona Champ came to Calella with one goal in mind... to retain the title. and with a win at the Mallorca Olympic a couple of weeks ago, and some good training at the team camp on Mallorca certainly set Emma up for a great race in here on the Costa Brava. . . With a few fast swimmers such as Annie Thoren and Camilla Pedersen, Emma knew she would have to play catch-up in the Bike and run. . And that she did, with a close bike pack of Pedersen, Langridge and Pallant all throughout the 90km hilly ride, the race would definitely be won on the run.. . This is where Emma is pretty much unbeatable, tearing up the 21km 2.5 loop flat and hot coastal path along Calella with a blistering fast 3.50 min/km pace - only matched by Austria’s Eva Wutti - she retained her title in front of the large Catalunya crowd in a total time of 4:32:54 .
