A response

No more than

Reflex, a practiced motion

There before you know it

Gone

Before it counts

Whose is the folly, whose is the blame

Folly, of being human enough to believe and to hope and to hurt?

Blame, of causing the hurt in the first place?

Definitions of Human Error

Hubris is being fool enough to believe you stand a chance at getting into a play (when in reality you’re a shitty excuse for an actress).

Self-deception is being ignorant enough to believe the above lie (when in reality you have two year’s worth of contrary evidence).

Weakness is being flawed enough to believe you won’t be affected (when in reality you end up crying in the shower).

Fallibility is being predictable enough to believe you’ll make it next time (when in reality you’ll end up at hubris again).
