I'm playing Resident Evil (2 remake) for the first time after being enticed by the Leon thirst edits and I am Stressed but having a good time.

Leon/Claire is already gonna ruin me, I can tell. THEIR LIL SCENE AT THE FENCE 😭

I've been wishing so hard lately for a sign from my mum. A dream where she tells me I'm doing okay and I'm not a disappointment or SOMETHING, even just a bunch of white feathers or a robin. Everything has felt awful, especially these last few weeks. I've felt like I'm drowning in my caretaker responsibilities for my dad, feeling angry and resentful at the situation then feeling guilty about feeling that.

But I got my sign today 🥹

A woman she used to work with met me randomly, and started to gush over how wonderful a person my mum was and how proud she had been of me and how talking to me felt like talking to my mum again. She told me how she was glad to see how well I was getting on because all my mum talked about was "her Emma" with such pride 🥹

I sobbed the whole way home cause it's the sign I've wished so desperately for.

Overall, did enjoy it but as my friend said it 100% could have been a DLC. It was so short compared to 2.

Still preferred how 3 was structured narrative though compared to 2. They really cpuld have done the duel protagonist thing better in 2 so there wasn't so much conflicting story 💀

I LOVED Jill and Carlos.

Nemesis was tedious and annoying and not as scary as Mr X unfortunately. I was more scared of the Hunters (which were sooo much worse than Lickers)

I'm very much looking forward to 4 and seeing my boy Leon again and am also looking forward to getting to OG3 when I do the OG game run to see all the cut stuff people talk about.

I romanced Vasco the first time, might go for Kurt this time.

I don't remember sucking so much at the combat but then I have been in Cosy Game only mode for many months now, I'm probably out of practice 💀

Enjoying the story structure of RE3 over RE2 (ie having different characters play different sections rather than replaying the same scenarios twice just to get an ending and it doesn't even make sense lmao)

Mr X was more threatening than Nemesis, Im just finding this guy an annoyance.

I understand why people say this feels like a DLC though. I'm pretty sure I'm near the end now and only a couple of hours of game play. Glad I got it on sale but still enjoying it!

Overall it ~feels easier but idk if that's cause I'm used to the gameplay now.
