Holidays Are Coming || Josh & Emma
After spending over two weeks back in Kentucky, it was strange being back in London again. There was so much going through Josh's head that he wasn't even entirely sure he wanted to be back, but he knew that spending time with Emma tonight would help. He hadn't told anyone about his meeting up with Georgie, not yet, wanting to focus on Jen's happy day. It wasn't the time to think about himself, especially not when he'd done it so much over the last six months or so. Now was different, and Emma was his friend, so talking to her wouldn't exactly be out of the ordinary. That would come later though, much later.
As promised, as soon as Emma agreed to come around, he sat himself down and ordered a selection of food from the local Chinese. He had no idea how much they'd actually eat, but he could always throw it in the refrigerator to eat over the rest of the weekend. Any excuse not to cook for a day or two. Once food was ordered, he found some music to put on, and then sank down into the cushions, letting his eyes fall closed for several moments. He was dropping off to sleep by the time he heard the bell go, and had to knock himself out of his sleepy state before he made his way to the door.
Pulling it open several moments later, he flashed Emma a bright smile, and then gestured for her to come inside. "Sorry if it took my forever to answer..." he murmured with a laugh once he'd closed the door again. "I, uh... yeah, I kinda fell asleep a little."

There When It Matters || Josh & Emma
Josh didn't know where he was actually planning on going, something he realised only after being in the car for half an hour already. So he pulled over as soon as he found somewhere, killing the engine and dropping his head down onto the steering wheel, trying to calm down his rapid breathing. His knuckles were white, grip so tight, but he honestly didn't know what he was doing anymore. He needed to go somewhere, driving into the middle of nowhere wasn't going to help anybody right now, and especially not him. Taking another set of deep breaths - in, out, in, out - he very slowly unfurled his fingers and looked back up at the road in front of him.
Where to go?
He'd been through this once already in the last week, the fact that he didn't know anymore. He checked off the options in his head; Chloe, Ansel, Emma, Jen, Lily, Natalie... Selena? God, he didn't even know if she was still around. Definitely not Selena. Emma. It had to be Emma. She'd told him last week that she was there for him, whenever, whatever, and hadn't she always been before? And at least, if she wasn't home, Lily would work as a back-up plan. It was the only thing that made sense, to be honest, so he started the engine back up, trying to figure out where the hell he was.
Several moments later, and after consulting google maps on his phone, he started the drive over there. Within minutes he was out of the car and making his way up to her door, everything he'd brought with him collected in his hands. He could feel the upset washing over him again, but forced it back, knocking furiously, all the while trying to keep a control over his breathing.

Friends and Alibis || Tai and Emma
After spending the day wandering aimlessly around Camden Market, Tai didn't really fancy going home. Whenever she was at home, she just ended up watching shitty TV shows, phone in hand, hovering over Evan's number. She knew it was ridiculous, but she couldn't seem to help herself. Not that she ever hit call, she was too afraid. He wasn't her best friend anymore, no way, but that didn't mean she didn't miss him. As she wandered aimlessly towards the nearest tube station, she happened upon what she thought was a brilliant idea. Emma had been complaining that no one had wanted to see her for weeks, so Tai would go and see her. And if Emma turned her away, so be it, turning up at someone's house unannounced wasn't exactly Tai's style, but she figured she didn't have anything to lose, so she descended into the station, and grabbed a train heading towards Emma's.
When the train came to a stop, Tai pushed through the crowd of people and ran up the steps, determined not to get caught in the rush. She stood for a few seconds, attempting to get her bearings, before heading off in what she hoped was the right direction. It wasn't exactly a long walk, but it took far longer than it would have if she could remember where the Hell she was going. But after a fair few wrong turns and walks up and down random streets, she reached the house she was looking for. Heading to the door, she contemplated dropping Emma a text, but quickly decided against it. Knocking just loud enough to be hear, Taissa stood, rocking slightly on her feet as she waited for the door to open.
