Drawing every cat in warriors day 199: brightspirit
Brightspirit was created in memoriam for Emmy Cherry, who died when a tornado hit her house in 2008. There is a book I didn’t catch in Braveheart’s DECIW that featured Brightspirit and her parents, who represent the parents of Emmy that also died in the Tornado. Long Shadows, the 5th book in TPoT arc, has them shown with great respect among Starclan cats when they show up to help Jaypaw. I had gotten these facts mixed up with the play Beyond the Code: Brightspirit’s Mercy. The play was written by the Erins for a fundraiser in honor of the Cherry family. There is no bigger warriors fan than Emmy. Shine bright in the stars Emmy. I should have talked more about Jimmy Cherry as well in Braveheart’s post. I’m so sorry
