im going to say something thats gonna get ppl pissed but its just so weird i cant take it anymore.
taylor’s stalker has been arrested 3 times in the last 5 days. he keeps getting released, and RIGHT after getting released he goes back to her house again.
there are thousands of horrific AI pictures of her on twitter, which get thousands of likes and are not taken down no matter how many reports ppl make. but as soon as you say something to the men that made those disgusting NON-consensual pics, your tweet gets banned.
yet, somehow, someway no one seems to bat an eye on it which is so crazy to me bc no one seems to extend a sympathy towards her or accept that whats happening to her is just BLATANT misogyny. idk what occured in these last few years for yall to think misogyny can’t just happen to any women but its driving me crazy. yes she’s rich, white and priviledged yet STILL experiences these things, doesn’t that make you wonder just how pervasive misogyny is????
wholesome timebomb headcanons
They have to be touching each other when they sleep (even if it's just holding hands)
If one of them wakes up and the other is asleep, they'll just lay there and watch the person sleep
They frequently have to rest their heads on each other's chest to listen to the other's breathing and heartbeat to convince themselves that they're still alive
yall think when washington pulled the "shh talk less.." in one last time alexander got triggered
idk i cant stop imagining him responding that with like a weird glare and im FRYIGN
Of course I’m here. Big surprise.
I’d love some soft!dom energy from countryclub!steve when we’re being a little needy. 😇
Leighanne my beloved 👹 18+
“No, no, Thursday should be fine— mhmm. Well, talk to Richard and see what he says, surely we can’t push it much further—”
You knew fine well Steve was still on his call, you could hear his voice through his office door, his tired, bored tone sighing into the receiver. He’d told you ten minutes though, and well, that had been twenty minutes ago.
So you didn’t feel too guilty when you snuck in, lips pressed together to hide your smile and Steve glanced at you with surprise as you closed the oak door behind you. His whole office smelled like him, like leather and whisky and expensive cologne. He was sat behind his desk, an impressive thing made of dark wood and topped with a forest green leather covering.
the gasp that left my body.
christopher please. i’m sweating. there are TEARS in my eyes.
i thought we were going wolf for some reason. but we went vampire? i love it. and its like his dark side? that he keeps caged up? are you joking? someone kill me.
alright so, I've been thinking a lot about dr. ratio lately, and his ult dialogue has been irking me: "esse es percipi" which roughly translates to "to exist is to be perceived."
berkeley, the philosopher that coined the phrase, only did so specifically to criticize the people that believed in this idea - he did not hold it himself. he explained this notion as asserting that "objects of sense have only an ‘in-and-out’ existence, that they are created and annihilated with every turn of man’s attention." that is, things (both people and objects) cease to exist once we stop perceiving them.
esse es percipi is an ideal that doesn't really have grounding in any system of logic or reasoning, and unless you have some groundbreaking conception of the world that has never been explored before, it completely breaks down if you think about it for more than 2 seconds.
here's the thing, hoyoverse is usually very intentional with its use of philosophical thought in the game - the writers seem pretty knowledgeable on the topic and the dialogue that engages the player with any sort of philosophical inquiry about the nature of life, things, or relationships, is always very insightful and deep.
so I don't believe that this was a case of them not knowing anything about philosophy and just randomly picking a phrase that sounded cool.
but if it was intentional on their part, then why?
it simply doesn't make sense to his character for him to hold a blatantly flawed ideal like that. it leaves me wondering whether this is supposed to be either a joke or an implication regarding some aspect of his character that hasn't been revealed yet.
