Let's talk about Mads Mikkelsen for a second

Like, seriously, this episode was Hannibal pulling out the Xanatos Speed Chess game.  It was the TINEST LITTLE THINGS that gave us any clue that things weren't quite where he wanted them.  

A twitch of the mouth, a tilt of the head, the slightest tension around the eyes, a flutter of the fingers (which I do when I'm feeling stabby), pacing around Bedelia's office like a lion about to strike...  a mere shade on a perfectly neutral expression and suddenly he's the most dangerous and malevolent thing ever.  

Then, when Abigail finds him at the end, his face is shadowed and perfectly still.  He's back in 100% control again.  No one will deviate from this script.  

Someone give this man an Emmy.  PLEASE.

I was curious, said Hannibal.

“You wanted me to kill Nick Boyle” said Abigail.

“I was hoping you would,” said Hannibal.

OMG- in this scene Hannibal is totally looking at her like she’s the mouse and he’s the cat. The cat who ate the canary is about to eat the mouse. OMG so freaked by that scene.

Mads is an amazing actor.
