Being emotionally balanced being ’emotionally stable’ is something we all need to be, but it’s not something we think about unless we’re struggling, but without it we will begin to struggle.

Emotional stability is the equivalent of us being grounded and not panicking when things go awry. The other side of emotional stability is resilience, both needed by us to withstand hardships. Emotional stability is also being able to keep our cool under stress.

It’s about balance, allowing ourselves to weigh up the pros and cons without us getting knocked back. But our initial emotional response to how we see negativity is more negative than it probably needs to be. A different perspective is what is needed here.

When we choose to look at our issues or circumstances in a way that creates positivity, we will find our answers. Like ‘karma’ checks and balances, so does life. As part of that life, we innately have the tools to work things out for ourselves, but we must look for and apply those tools to everyday situations.

And where we think we can’t or don’t know something, with those acquired tools we can and often do surprise ourselves. Life is about possibilities, it’s important we think about those when we look at our issues. All issues carry a lesson. There is always another side to how we initially see our issues that we must look at. They're not always black and white.

When we choose to look for the positives through the negatives, through another perspective or through our intuition, we’re looking at our experiences from a different side of the lens and that will always give us a more positive understanding of our experiences.
