I do worry that this whole babygate cesspit has glamorised ‘unprotected sex’ ‘one night stands’ ‘pregnancy’ ‘childbirth’ and ‘raising a child’ with these young fans to the point where they think that’s how it all should be and that those decisions or actions have no serious consequences at all. As parents we have a hard enough job as it is teaching our kids to protect themselves, to love themselves, to make good decisions, to take responsibility for their actions, to stand up and be accountable for their mistakes and learn from them, and then they get this bullshit shoved down their throats and made to think nah don’t worry kids, the worst that can happen when you sleep around is you might get pregnant, but that’s okay cause being pregnant, giving birth, raising a child is so goddamn easy, it won’t change your life one little bit, it won’t inconvenience you at all, everyone around you will look after the child for you, your body won’t be effected in the slightest, piece of cake!! I sat my 15 yr old down when she showed me F and after I looked into it a bit more I spent hours explaining to her how it was all fake. I went into all the gory details of pregnancy and childbirth and explained that when you are completely sick of being pregnant at 8 months you can’t just remove your bump for a bit of a breather. I think I might have scared her into celibacy for life but I got my point across. But yeah thank you to the drop kicks that are in charge of this mess for making our jobs as parents that much harder as we navigate our kids through all this bullshit you are peddling. This is a very dangerous stunt to pull in front of a young fanbase with consequences that are far reaching, and I really hope karma will come around in the not too distant future and bite them in the ass! Sorry Gina that got a bit long, I got a bit carried away, but as a mum of two I have very strong feelings about this whole mess not that that is going have any bearing on how/if/when this thing ends.
Hi love. No need to apologize. I feel really lucky that I’m close enough to my kids that they talk to me about this sort of stuff so I can set them straight (no pun intended). But I absolutely agree with you about how damaging this stunt is, especially given the predominately young, female fanbase this band/these men have.
