I don't think you should assume gender identities like that.

I agree with you that arbitrarily assigning gender identities is wrong, but Phasma has been specifically identified by both the Star Wars franchise and Gwendoline Christie as female.

Really? I didn't know this! Cool! Do both the protagonists featured in the trailer become Jedi? It wasn't really made clear to me.

i AM EXCITE. And honestly, I’m not sure? Because on the one hand, I want to say yes--it definitely seems that way, but Kylo Ren uses a red light saber and I don’t think he’s a Sith lord? There might be some kind of statement here that you don’t have to be a Jedi or a Sith to use a lightsaber, which I think is a really cool concept, but I also just really want Finn to be a Stormtrooper-turned-Jedi because. Yo. That would be cool.
