that had never been something tony was very good at doing, in fact he had a tendency to ignore and just add it to the mountain of trauma he still held onto. it was easier that way, right? he didn’t have time to address his issues and on the occasions he’d tried to open up, he’d found himself being shut down. how could he possibly want to come to terms with everything that had happened now? so of course he was going to deflect and try to take the attention away from him.

‘ how’s that going for you, huh? we barely know one another but i’m sure you’ve got your fair share of baggage since you’re here. ‘         he crossed his arms against his chest and looked to the other man.        ‘ it’s easier not to deal with it. ’

     she wakes with a start , sitting up far too quickly - or trying to , rather . bruised ribs prevent her from making it very far before she’s sent keeling over onto her side with a pitiful groan . blue eyes lift , slowly finding the strength to focus on her surroundings - landing squarely on him . ❝ -- where am i ? ❞ not her only question by a long shot , but it’s the first one that matters to her at this point . her mask is gone - lost at some point , she’s not sure when . . . & for all she knows this guy is another goon sent to capture her by . . . well , she doesn’t know who . that’s what she was after in the first place - before , well , before she got completely demolished in that fight . not her finest hour .
