Doesn't that make you fat?" First as a reminder protein, carb, and fat intake are all bio individual choices! What works for your body may not work for someone else, and vise versa. On top of all that we're all walking science experiments figuring out what works for us when it comes to nutrition and exercise anyways. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now back to ghee and the why. There are studies that show adding healthy fats into your daily diet can actually help with weight loss because fats provide more energy than carbs. Excess sugar in the body turns into fat. And excess sugar can come from a high intake of carbs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Low-Carb vs Low- Fat diets, which do I prefer? A balanced diet of lean protein, healthy carbs and high quality healthy fats like: avocado, coconut oil, nuts, and ghee. All macronutrients are essential for the body to function and with regards to what your body ultimately needs will be dependent on your health and fitness goals. Experiment with your body to find out what the best means of fueling it will be and don't forget to listen to the queues when your body is telling you to back off of something it doesn't like.
