I love to play with colour. Doing so gives me much joy. But did you know that during the year after we lost Mackenzie my work went black and white? Obviously my subconscious was pushing my art in a certain direction. . Then when I first moved back to Palm Springs last year my artwork that sold well was white. It was almost as if I was starting a fresh. As if I’m starting on a new adventure! . Do you have a favorite colour combination? “Bricks” was created using two LEGO bricks I found while cleaning the yard here. They were once toys belonging to my brother in laws who must have lost them back in the 80’s. I then decided to make each brick by hand, hand paint each brick and organize them to create this piece. . Someone said “why did I not just use legos?” - but then that would have been too easy. Plus the look would not be so organic. What do you think? .
