Now that the warmer weather is here to stay for a while it's time for me to put my indoor Altar on standby mode like I do every year at this time. I kept the Altar with some crystal towers on it for a week then lit Dragons blood incense to cleanse it.
After a week I took the towers and sphere off and placed a wooden tray with Selenite, Kyanite, Black Tourmaline and Double Terminated Quartz. It will remain this way until the beginning of October when I will begin to prepare it for Samhain.
The box with my Athame and Dagger has been removed for use at my outdoor Altar but the case with my stones for my Crystal Grids will remain under the indoor Altar. I sometimes feel I should have 2 active Altars during the warm weather but this is how we've always done it, as far as I can remember.
I will add one more thing to the Altar though, in 2 more days I add the strand of natural Hematite and Quartz Altar beads I made. I keep them there to maintain grounding energies and to repel negativity.
