an exasperated sigh left his lips as he stumbled into his apartment; interrupting the silence radiating around the empty living with the sound of clumsy keys crashing into one another below him. he had his tie hung loosely around his neck, his entire being exhausted from the long day and the number of hours he had counted by the second during the date he should be invested in, as he promised his father. though, if his father ever asks, he would merely smile and nod — forget the busy schedule he was given, he would talk briefly about the date he felt obligated to go as an attempt to keep the older man happy, as well as how well it went; sneaking maybe a lie or two on how much he likes the girl his father had picked for him. “i’m home,” he muttered softly under his breath, a hand tossing aside the detached tie and the first layer of his suit towards his desk chair before he climbed into bed. “i’m sorry it took so long for me to come home,” and with that he planted a soft kiss on her cheek. / @emptyhcpe
