it's a beautiful day in the fibonacci ward, and one (1) thoma is spending this glorious afternoon... you absolutely didn't guess it! chasing a stray towel down the street.

as beautiful and sunny as it is, it's also unforgivably windy. and though the electric dryer is at his disposal, thoma's always been something of a 'tried and true' kind of guy; no reason to waste electricity when he can hang dry a couple of towels? right?

right?

wrong.

had he simply made use of what was at his disposal, he's sure his afternoon would have turned out differently. for one, he wouldn't be chasing stray clothing and towels down an otherwise idyllic strip of houses. and for two, he certainly wouldn't be bearing witness to a nice shirt smack!ing a poor, innocent bystander right in the face.

thoma covers his own face with his hands, positively aghast.

a while has passed already since crossing paths with the stranger and mechanical device, one he could tell held more to it than the impression a quick glance might give. he inspects it as the other would allow, never overstepping should the man change his mind and decide to carry on with the day. "this device. did you create it?" it is quite a genius piece of technology, the small display shifting to another expression every so often, as if it understood what was happening around it. it's well within expectation of any list of possibilities for all he has witnessed.

since racing out of the lobby, she'd been fleeing at full speed, desperate not to run into the other copies of herself or Lumine, and even more so finding anyone to turn to. although she'd not practically tracked the route in blind panic, catching sight of a familiar face had been the lifeline she clung onto for dear life.

charging towards the man, she collided with his chest, fingers tangled in the material of his shirt, her petite form trembling. the wounds of Dottore capturing the Traveler and worrying about what could happen were fresh, to be faced with the same fright here so soon was more than she could bear.

✦Kaveh, please, you've gotta help. we were near the lobby with someone, and they suddenly turned on us. they grabbed the Traveler and started calling for the other version of her. she told Paimon to run, but... but she needs help!✦

"Happy Holidays, Olga-Marie!" a chipper voice chimes in, alerting her to the small, wrapped box he holds up her way. when it's opened, she would find a moon shaped ring within, adorned with sparkling stars around it. it decidedly seems like it's missing something, however. "Let me demonstrate for you," he mentions, leaning forward to press down the center of it. "If you tap here, it should send off a signal to the other half of it, letting you know you're thinking of them when you're apart. The rings also match, so you can connect them when you two are together, too."

no matter how much time passes, receiving gifts stil felt a tad odd. perhapse undeserved would be a better word but she's learned it's better to accept than argue about it. the ring is quite beautiful, an example of kaveh's artistic eye. she's silent as she slips it onto her finger, surprised how perfectly it fits. there was the thought of pressing it herself but while she quickly decided to hold off, the other took it upon himself to do so as a demonstration.

ah, it was fine. she already has an idea as to where the other half of the ring could be. she only wonders if he'll actually wear it.

" Apologies if this is sudden," is how lauma approaches the architect, hand reaching out to rest on his shoulder as she rounds the corner from behind. perhaps it was fortune favoring her that led her to encountering the young man at this ball. lauma would like to look at it that way.

"But I must thank you. It's because of your help that me and my friends were able to save Nod-Krai." her smile is warm as the scion bows her head slightly in greeting. " I'm Lauma. Friends of Lumine and Paimon– it was them who informed me that a young, blonde architect named Kaveh had built the device essential to our plan."
