I've been on cryptid bois brainrot and as I was drawing them, I was just thinking, with the doppelganger, what if the reason hunter didn't wake up to it like they said they usually would (bc they have that sense for when a cryptid is nearby), is because they got so used to sleeping and feeling safe next to like, the strong as fek cryptid energy sun and moon emit so they accidently taught themselves that that feeling and the feeling of being watched constantly isn't a reason to Wake The Fuck Up Right Now? Because if so- oopsies lol
