Erin played everyone's favourite News At Six office extra who appeared in the show for a couple of seconds in Season Three, but has certainly let her love of The Newsreader's story be known on a futuristic medium called the Internet! 😉

Yes, it is my birthday today. I turned 26 and starting to believe this adulthood business is real now. I had a fantastic day visiting a historic village and having lunch with my mum and younger brother, and have worked through replying to all your birthday wishes (still a few more to go). I especially want to thank my friend Maria from Portugal for this terrific e-card!

A cool thing happened today! After falling in love with the pink floral Ken Done scarf Em Rusciano wore on the Emsolation Podcast a couple of weeks back (which inspired me to wear my blue and green fish KD scarf to my staff development day), wrapped on an op shop scarf rack was none other than the scarf itself, exactly like Em's! I could have jumped for joy, and it was only five dollars!

A big birthday wish came true a few weeks ago. I walked into my local JB Hi Fi after my staff development day, and after four years of waiting, finally got to pick up The Newsreader on DVD. I had desperately wanted to have our show preserved on DVD, and I was so overjoyed that at last, one had been made.

There are six discs, and each season's start menu features key art from that particular season, which I thought was neat. The most exciting JB Hi Fi purchase of my life, and I made sure that I told the checkout girl that I was on the show too!

Thank you all for your beautiful messages and celebration today. I am so appreciative of all of you and the support you give this page. 2025 has been a very magical year here and it has been a joy sharing this very special Newsreader story with all of you. Here's to more stories to come! 💖🎂🎉🌟📺

I thought Michael was mispronouncing "Masseduction" as "Mass Education", but it turns out MassEducation is the name of the album with piano versions of all the songs from Masseduction. So, very Lestat.

I had a bit of trouble hearing clearly but I'm pretty sure at the end of pt.1 of the Emsolation interview with Sam they read a fan question that says, "You've mentioned a lot of songs make you think of Lestat, especially St. Vincent's Masseduction."

Sam is going to appear on Emsolation, the podcast Michael Lucas (the newsreader showrunner) co-hosts with his best friend Em Rusciano. They are specifically inviting fan questions which can be sent at [email protected], and while he's there to promote the Newsreader, they also said you can ask about Interview with the Vampire! Em did promise Michael not to ask about the naked floating sex scene, though.
