I’m so saddened to hear when happened to my dear friend @emwafer. Em was coming to the states from New Zealand for a solo show at @gabbagallery when she was detained by customs officers. Em had her belongings taken from her, was put in a room for an inordinate amount of time, and then sent back to NZ on her own dime. I have spent enough amount of time with Em that I can tell you she loves America and this treatment of her disgusts me. My heart goes out to Em and all of us who are deprived of her presence. Em is one of the sweetest, hardest working, loyalist, most wonderful people on the planet and it is truly a shame on us #emwafer
