Open Art Lab

EMW Bookstore opens its doors each month to artists of all skill levels and mediums to work on their projects amongst other artists. This event is dedicated to community, collaboration, and creativity. Art does not have to happen in solitude!

WHEN:

Third Saturday of every month.

ROLES:

Program Lead: Make it happen, every month.

Writer: Blog about the event!

Photographer: Take photos at the event!

Videographer: Film the event!

Sound Check: One-two, one-two. Help performers with their AV needs.

DJ: Sick beats, all night.

Workshopper

Role: Run a workshop teaching community members of all skill levels! (As a part of our commitment to valuing artists’ time and labor, we pay workshoppers a small fee for their time. We may request a resume and portfolio.)

Level of Commitment: 3

Open Art Lab Program Lead

Role: Work with staff to plan an OAL event ranging from promotional material, publicity, liaising with the workshopper, and attending and writing and/or photographing OAL.

Level of Commitment: 5
