Accidental Encounters Starter || accepting
Given her reputation as the UNDERGROUND gambler, it shouldn’t be hard to assume that Celestia’s level of acquaintances often lead to ILLEGAL dealings and DANGEROUS encounters. Heaven knows how often her very LIFE was placed in danger after securing her vast earnings against a bitter LEADER of numerous gangs. However, ADAPTATION was key— a lesson she learned faithfully since the days of her unspeakable youth. SMILING with overwhelming confidence, she does not FEAR walking into territories empty handed. In the end, just as she made a HANDFUL of enemies; she also made a NUMBER of her own alliances. She wasUNTOUCHABLE—-or at least she so thought before hearing a certain screech from a very familiar classmate. ❝Hagakure-kun…?❞
Her head merely tilts in CURIOSITY, not questioning the fact that he had SOMEHOW angered the ruffians that threatens this part of the city ( he was bound to learn his lesson here, somehow ). Despite shrugging off this encounter and walking away—it wasn’t UNTIL she heard her name escape his mouth. Arms waving at her for a second, no doubt INDICATING that he was capable of calling for help. Idiot…! Her mind quickly registers his vile attempt—DIDN’T she make it clear that she could care LESS of what happened to him? Numerous eyes met with her dainty form, her gaze merely NARROWING in response. With them distracted, she can do nothing but WITNESSthe clairvoyant make his escape… RUNNING away towards her direction before grabbing her alongside. ❝What the hell did YOU even do?!❞ Forget pleasantries, Celestia was CLEARLY not pleased with what had just transpired between the two.
Never would he have believed that he would live as he did with a vested proclivity to danger. He was of a simple nature, a kind that was not likely to desire ill omen on even his worst enemies. It was karma that he believed in most; do good and good will return and more. Those who allowed the trappings of temptation to consume their actions were doomed to be burdened by demons. He believed that and yet he did not understand the connotations for which the situation had him. He did not envision himself liable to be considered a threat by anyone, least of all by the organization that hunted him down relentlessly.
Dawn until dusk, and on some days even beyond that, he spent with a neurotic sense of caution for dangers that potentially lurked around every corner. Every shadow, every crevice, a possible entryway for which they might lunge at him and attack like predator to prey. It was a terrible means to live, but there was very little alternative that he could believe in. And for as prudent as he surprisingly was in keeping them at bay, there was no concievable way to actually avoid them forever; he was only delaying the inevitable, or so he heard from just about everybody who spoke of the Kuzuryuu Yakuza Family. The fact that he had not been cornered sooner in the years of running was either a miracle brought down by whatever deity existed in the universe, or it spoke volumes of the little effort put forth to collect on their vendetta against him. Regardless, his luck had run dried and it was only at what seemed like the end for him that he realized that he had collected so many regrets in this lifetime. Or so he initially perceived.

The collective group of suited men twist to look at his saviour and the moment seemed primed to make for escape. The whirlwind of speed and chase that followed moved like a blur for him, not single moment throughout the heavy panting of his breath and the sharp slaps of his sandals against the pavement did he pause to acknowledge the reality of what was going on. Between the shoutings of the men on his heels and the girl being forcibly pulled in tow, he truly had no incentive to stop until safety was all but guranteed. Eventually, through a series of sharp turns and clever crowd surfing, the pursuing party had began to disperse as their numbers dwindled, unable to keep with his psychotic pace. If there was one thing the fortuneteller was most confident in besides his clarivoyant abilties, it was his skill to run away given threat on his life— where he would end up after running however was another issue entirely. Looking to his partner, whose normally well-kept appearance looked worse for wear after all they had been through in the last hour of running, and smiled awkwardly.

Nothing really special ever happens on the way home. Same old fountain, same old passage, and the regular calm but somewhat brooding atmosphere that seems to surrond Hope’s Peak Academy at all times. The only thing that tends to change are the flow of students that come in and out: Both Reserve and Main course students.
Today was different, though. A stream of new enrollments came in, and with them a lot of new main course students. ...One of which that happened to accidentally tackle him head on. She was kind of unique looking, but then again, so did everyone else in this place.
“Oh! Uh, sorry. Didn’t mean to bump into you there.”
