Making sure there was no one in the room, you quickly walked in and shut the door quietly. Trying hard to content the wide smile forming on your face, you quickly walked over to his desk.
Placing a packet of bread and banana milk on the desk, you take out a pen and a pad of sticky notes. Not even hesitating to think about what to write, your hand immediately started brushing against the table, leaving beautifully written letters formed in beautiful sentences onto the piece on paper.

Ripping the small piece of paper from the rest of the pad, you carefully place it onto the packaging of the bread before putting your pen and paper away.
But before you could move away from Jay’s desk, the door suddenly opens. Turning around in shock, you come face to face with the man himself- Jay.
“What are you doing at my desk?” He questions you as he begins to walk towards you.
“Um- I- uh…” You stumble on your words not knowing what to do after being caught by him.
Jay picks up the piece of paper on his desk before reading it quickly. You stand there awkwardly, debating if you should run or not.
“So i’t been you the whole time” He asks you as he puts down the paper. You nod you head slightly, your vision locked onto your shoes that were ever so interesting.
“Well, you should have just told me. Then you wouldn’t have had to spend so much money on me.” He tells you with a joking tone, making you look up from the ground confused.
“Wait-what? What do you mean?” You asked confused, your head spinning from both the sudden blood rushing to your red cheeks and from the confusion Jay was giving you.
“It means, you should have just told me from the start and you wouldn’t have had to spend so much money on me, when I would be the one spending money on you.” Still confused you tilt your head a little. Jay rolls his eyes playfully.
“It means I like you dummy,” your red cheeks somehow becomes redder as you feel a wave of happiness flush over you. “Let’s date.”

With a gentle smile on your face, you watch as your boyfriend Jake plays with the children in the orphanage, both the adult and the children laughing and giggling, bringing joy to everyone who watched them. You watch as Jake ever so gently wipes away tears that ran down a little girls’ face who had fell, how his eyes were soft and gentle-loving while looking at the small child in front of him, how patient he was with the crying girl. You couldn’t hear what he had said to the girl as you were too far away, but it seemed like his words worked as the little girl throws herself onto him, giggling as Jake softly pats her back.
You couldn’t help but imagine a life with Jake in the future. You couldn’t help but imagine starting your own family with him after the two of you got married. Your hand that was previously patting a sleeping boy on your lap moves to your left hand where your engagement ring is. The smile that was on your face starts to wider and you suddenly get an image of you, Jake, your future kids, and Jake’s dog all together on the beach watching as the sunset.
Your thought gets interrupted as you met eyes with Jake. The smile you loved most in the world was present on his face.
Without even a single word exchanged, you both immediately knew what you both wanted to say;
I love you.
It was that simple, there were no hand signals, no words, no nothing- just simple eye contact. That’s how much the two of you understood each other- how much you loved each other.
And knowing that, there was nothing else you needed in the world.
