a shared friend's lore is that the more ribbons are ripped off, the more agency u get back to the veined side. BUT BENA IS ONLY THE ONE SIDE... so misery headcrab it likely twists her sadness to be outwardly hurtful. Moony got her loose and a meltdown deteriorates the veins
