Enabling Technology Summit
It’s been more than a week since DIDD’s inaugural “Enabling Technology” Summit, and we have been overwhelmed by the positive response from everyone about what we believe is a crucial piece to the future of supports in Tennessee.
As we indicated at the meeting, DIDD plans to test the technology in its service delivery system starting in early 2018. We are in the process of developing provider qualifications, assessments, outcomes, training and other important components. We hope to outline our strategy in the near future, and plan to communicate with providers further details in future meetings. Furthermore, we are establishing a Technology Advisory Council to ensure full stakeholder involvement and evaluation as we break new ground in Tennessee when it comes to supporting people with disabilities.
