Archivist, I entrust to you this pair of eyeglasses with squarish plastic frames. They are not particularly Unordinary, in that the do not grant their wearer the Sight, nor the sharpness of an eagle's gaze, nor any other modification of vision other than that achieved by the refraction of light as in any other pair of Mundane lenses.
They are, however, Unordinary in the sense that they perfectly match the prescription of the wearer, whatsoever it may be, and will not fog up when that wearer wears also a scarf, nor easily break, nor fall off the nightstand and get lost in the middle of the night.
They do still need to be cleaned regularly. Any proper lens or glass cleaner and a soft cloth will do. In a pinch, deliberately fogging them with one's breath and wiping them on one's shirt will suffice, though it will likely leave the surface smudged until they are properly cleaned.
They have served me well in my time here, but my graduation ceremony is on the morrow, and I do not wish to bring the glasses out of Elsewhere with me only to have them revert to the window glass they were forged from. It seems a cruel and pointless end to an item which has done me such good.
Would you hold on to them until they can find someone new? You will know the wearer has been chosen when the frames change shape.
I suspect that to many these are worth far, far more than the more unusual enchantments one usually finds on eye-wear.
