One of the hardest things, and one of the things I was really interested in doing, was creating this sense of oneness with the characters from animation into live action. I wanted to make sure that you really felt like they were the same character. So, one of the things we did was we actually recorded live action reference, mainly of Amy, and we used it to inform the animators as to how Amy was going to play the role. And as we went on, we would send the animators footage of scenes that we were shooting. That really allowed us to bridge the two worlds, even with the costume design. - Kevin Lima, Enchanted (2007)
