Block 9 has Crossed the Line

I’m less than 24 hours from finishing finals week, but all I can think about is not the 2 finals I still have left, but how exhausted and drained I am. 

This block has been the hardest 8 weeks of second year by far, but also the most interesting, which is why it’s so difficult because I want to learn all of this, I really do, but there is just so much a human brain can hold, and block nine has surpassed this amount by a landslide. 

Block nine may not be benign, but that’s okay, because it will all be over with soon. So please brain, just give me enough neurons to pass these next two finals... Just 24 more hours and this tired vet student will hopefully be a 3rd year vet student...Wish me luck!

So today marks the end of my second year of university, and even though it’s been a hell of a lot more stressful, it’s been so much better than my first year. Several times during first year I wanted to just drop out; I lived at home rather than in student accommodation which made me isolate myself a lot more from my coursemates for the first two terms, but this year has been wonderful. I moved out of my parents’ home and into a shared house in Cardiff, I spent so much more of my free time with my coursemates and even with friends of theirs off other courses, who’ve now become friends of mine. This year, despite the heavy workload, has been wonderful. There’s only 13 of us on our course so we’re more like a little family, we all take care of each other but are there to call people up on their bullshit when it’s needed. I love my little PAM fam! In September we’ll begin our final year together and in just over a year’s time we’ll all *hopefully* be graduating which is a scary prospect, but I’m so happy I’ll get to do it with such a wonderful bunch of people!

it's been a while

Well guys, the time has finally come for me to call it quits on second year. Marks have been posted, houses have been left, and now it's time for my last reminiscent on the year.

Highlights that have not been mentioned as of yet:

The BBBs spotted chatting it up with Sssssauce's old husband and Blondie at F&S's - looked to me like the old husband has a definite thing for Ky Sauce while Ssssauce probably would have gone home with Blondie if given the chance, but we all know that's not saying that much.

While 420 (421) had some crazy times, threesomes and twosomes being spoken of everywhere, Laupau and Ssssauce managed to keep it in their pants ...

Those are certainly the most exciting things that happened in these last few months. Not much sentimentality surrounding the departure of Gwelf this semester, so until later Gwelfys! Have a stupendous summer and remember, I'm always watching.

Joey showed me this video today, see if you can spot the plant in every fucking picture.

This is the house I will be living in next year. It may not look as new as it does in the video but it has character and after tonight's initiation, I know it host quite a plethora of people.

I had a small epiphany tonight while walking back to campus for the last time, from my future house, to my bailey street apartment, which is even uglier when it's pale and dry than when it's filled with people and clutter. 

After stopping at the dorms to say goodbye to my future cinematography classmates I had a very refreshing and reflective conversation with myself. It's going to be strange when my dad picks me up tomorrow. 

I had fun tonight.
