#ENDair throw a daddy a bone!
Ivan?
(she calls out as she closes the door of the apartment, slipping her key into her pocket) Ivan? (She frowns lightly, worrying a bit the he didn't answer. Maybe he wasn't around, he could be out on a job...) Isaac? (There's no response either. Well, so much for a surprise. She'd accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe into town just so that she could surprise Ivan, but apparently no one was home... She goes to the kitchen to get the notebook the Altairs kept on the counter to write now to-do-lists, grocery store lists and all sorts of things so she could leave a message to Ivan that she'd dropped by).
We'll have the house red.
Oh, bring some bread to the table too, thank you. [Everything was all set in place for his date with obviously the most fantastically smart and gorgeous woman in all of Herefordshire. Yes, it was of course his girlfriend. He'd surprised her with an invitation to dinner with him this evening and of course he'd hoped she'd spend the night as well. Ivan had ordered them a very nice bottle of wine- he knew because he'd been to this place prior- and put on his best suit for her as well. In the note he'd left he told her to dress to impress or rather dress in something she wouldn't mind being ripped off of her later (jokes, he kids...sort of). Now all that he needed was her, was his Echo. Seeing her come in shortly after he'd actually gotten a little worried, he stands and smiles brightly at her. He pulls out her chair for her before sitting back down] You look...wow you look more gorgeous the more we're apart, how is that even possible? Maybe this time apart is good for us? [He jokes, still with a wide grin on his face]
I have a feeling you're not going to like this...
At all (she says as she enters their bedroom. She was fiddling with the sleeves of her sweater, a clear sign that she was a bit nervous) But I... we got talk about something.
I smashed a plate.
[Ivan mutters with his arms folded over his chest as he turns to look up at Echo. He was laid out across the bed with his head in her lap as she read something, he thought was some kind of pamphlet for that school they'd went to look at. After having a fight with Isaac he really did not want to have, he'd gone out for a walk, a rather long one. He'd returned home to find Isaac gone and Echo just getting back home. Sitting on the bed with her now felt rather relaxing compared to how he felt previously] I get so angry with him sometimes, I can't believe he went on that job without me.
Ivan?
Hey, you left the front door open (she says as she enters the apartment. The door had been open just by a crack, but still, it was careless to do so). Hey, they didn't have the toothpaste you always use, so I got another one. I hope you don't mind (she struggles a bit to close the door as she carried the groceries bags into the kitchen).
Ivan?
(she asks from the bedroom as she hears the door opening. She was about to speak again when there's a loud sound before the lights cut off. She sat still on the bed, not making a single sound, even trying to keep her breathing as quiet as possible despite the fact that it had quickened. She was afraid. Clearly neither Ivan nor Isaac had entered the apartment, so she carefully slides out of bed since she didn't want to make a sound and because her still healing wounds were keeping her from moving in a more agile way. She was bloody trapped in that room, where the hell could she go from here? The lights flickered on and off, only adding to the already chill-inducing atmosphere. Trying to think of what to do before the men walked into the bedroom, she took her mobile from the nightstand and quickly texted a single word to Ivan: "Knight". She didn't know how much time she had, so she couldn't waste it texting something long. He would understand that word meant danger. Suddenly the door of the room is kicked open by two men she had seen around The Melting Pot before, one with the gun, the other unarmed. He was probably confident enough in his skills that he didn't feel the need to use a weapon. The one with gun aimed at her head and she instinctively rose her hands in a defensive gesture. Not again...).
[Ivan had woken up holding Echo in his arms with his face nestled in the crook of her neck. A small smile covers his lips as he leans forward to kiss her cheek lightly, trying not to wake her as he slowly got out of bed and went downstairs. The day was a bit hectic yesterday and the anger he harbored towards Knight still resonated, but he wanted to make her day today better than the last. So the obvious option to him was a big breakfast ass breakfast and a fun lazy day. Going to the fridge, Ivan gets out an assortment of ingredients, yawning lightly as he gets the grittle ready to fry up some omelets]
