Jack was no stranger to weird things. His whole life was testament to that. He had a penchant for fantasy novels, he'd read the odd horror novel here and there, one such story having something to do with a brave man fighting off a mysterious curse in an attempt to save his family. But of course, those were just stories, they weren't real. He never expected to run into a creature straight out of his books... His Pa would've found it hilarious, he was certain.
How does he know that the man before him is a creature out of his books? Simple. Jack had just fanned the hammer of his Pa's old Schofield, all six rounds straight to the chest... And the Stranger was still alive.
'Well... Shit.' Was all that he could think at the moment. Still, he could at least try to be nice. "So, partner... Care to explain' why you ain't on the ground and how you still kickin'? Far as I know, you shouldn't be movin'." Famous last words right there.

" and you gon' stay right there, loco, you hear me?! " it is the first time, however, that the rush of a heist must have stimulated javier's senses enough to make him hallucinate a feller's entire reflection missing from the window of a train. there had been a gunshot coming from somewhere, the whistling of the huge steam machine ringing in his ears. and then, with a stuttering and finally abrupt motion, the train had come to a stop, shaking the floor beneath them and throwing the unlucky stranger backwards and straight out through the window. a sight to behold. and one more task off javier's hands.
he has more confidence usually during their little under - takings. as in where they take from people without asking and without consent. but something about their encounter, about the man himself, sends a shiver down javier's spine. something doesn't smell right.
" i ain't playin'! we'll be off in a minute. " the barrel of the silver - plated revolver stares back at the man on the ground unblinkingly, held almost protectively between him and the outlaw.
